Gihon

For spider, read weaver, from Sanskrit.
For purling stream, read braided (also knotted
As in purls of sheep dung). This brings us
Back to pearl, and returns us to weaver,
As in purling of the selvedge of the vest.
Gihon braided beneath its foam and spray
Cannot be sundered as can turbine from axle,
axle from purling stream, finger from shuttle.
